Lillian Firestone 

Chairman

Lillian Firestone is founder of Firestone Associates, a public relations and marketing firm operating since 1964.

Ms. Firestone has been profiled in Glamour, Cosmopolitan and Vogue magazines and is the author of more than 100 technical articles.  She serves as Chairman of the Board of Aquasonics International, an emerging high tech company in the field of desalination.  Her academic credentials include visiting professor at Pratt Institute, lecturer at Columbia School of Pharmacy, speaker at the American Management Association.

She has twice won the Putnam Publishing prize for literature. She was publisher of ArtSpeak Magazine, and currently heads Indications Press publishing, and is Managing Editor of Asian Food & Lifestyle magazine in New York City.

Born in Harbin, China Ms. Firestone traces her roots in China for three generations, where her father founded a trading company in 1928. She attributes her love of Chinese culture to a childhood spent traveling throughout Asia.

Jeff Wolfman

CEO

Jeff is a 25-year veteran of media / marketing and brings his expertise to the development of strategic business alliances between media vendors and the agency and client communities.

Jeff began his career as a sales representative at Broadcast Marketing Corp., a media buying service with a corporate trade division in 1979.  By 1992 Jeff had grown BMC’s broadcast, print and out of home media inventories to over $30 million. After rising through the ranks of various management positions at BMC he purchased the company in 1994.

At BMC Jeff has executed trade and media transactions with over one third of the Fortune 500 companies in virtually every consumer product and service category including packaged goods, food, apparel, automotive, pharmaceuticals, industrial chemicals, transportation, travel and real estate.  Jeff is also an experienced media veteran, with an extensive media sales and buying background.

BMC continues to service its 50-plus company client roster as it focuses on putting together strategic relationships with media companies looking to grow by using innovative sales and marketing programs.

Jeff earned a B.S. degree from Michigan State University in 1978.  He is a martial arts enthusiast and T’ai Chi practitioner for 20 years.

Vice President

Jimmy oversees business development with Firestone Group’s Chinese business partners.  His 15 years of experience in advertising and media give him critical insights into both the cultural and business environment in China. His career in media includes ten years of management expereince at a flagship Chinese language paper in New York City

 

DeLi Zhang

Director, China

Deli directs Firestone Group’s close working relationships with Chinese Outdoor, Television and Print facilities.  For the past 15 years he has also been president of Julong Economic Development Corporation. Mr. Zhang’s bilingual offices in central Beijing offer the Group's clients and visitors a convenient home base for business meetings and market research. He personally supervises all aspects of Firestone Group activity in China.

 

Ken Lyons

Controller

Ken’s career in finance spans over 40 years in the media business since its beginning at RKO radio in 1960.  He has worked as corporate controller for U.S. Media and UMC Productions.

He has been the C.F.O. at Broadcast Marketing Corp. since 1973 and joins the Firestone Group in the same capacity.

Director Of Research

A Harvard graduate in economics, Jaime has more than 7 years experience in management consulting and new business development, where he has focused on customer value management, marketing sciences, and business process improvement. He has advised clients like Citibank, JP Morgan Chase, Overseas China Banking Corporation of Singapore and Johnson & Johnson combining strategic analysis with hands-on implementation of technology and operations enhancements.

Jaime brings entrepreneurial independence and resourcefulness to his work.  He was the founder and president of Novantech Solutions, Inc., technology consultants to health care providers, where he helped doctors to achieve operational efficiencies and regulatory compliance through the intelligent use of technology.  Prior to creating Novantech, he was a founding member of Novantas, a New York-based marketing-sciences consultancy created by alumni of First Manhattan Consulting Group.

 

Rieko-Yamada-Ivy-2Rieko Yamada Ivy

Manager International

Ms. Ivy coordinates international activity for the Firestone Group. She has worked in bilingual marketing, advertising and production in Tokyo and New York.

Among her areas of expertise are scheduling and coordination of business trips or lectures, translation and interpretation, planning and managing of events.  She researches market conditions for a spectrum of Asian companies that require real time reports on the American marketplace in automotive and consumer goods. For Asian clients, Ms. Ivy prepares for their entry into the New York market through a constellation of services including the creation of a business and marketing plan, choice of a management team, local human resource and training, office location search and arrangement, supervising local construction projects, accounting and legal consulting.

Her clients range from Casio to Asahi Beer, from Manhattanville College to Mary Quant.

Ms. Ivy is Executive Editor of Asian Food and Lifestyle Magazine, and an active member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan.

 

Sue-Kagan-PicHuiming Yu

China Market Communications

Huiming Yu is a media veteran both in China and U.S. He got a Master degree in Publishing in China and another Master degree in Cinema Studies at New York University. With several books and numerous articles published, as well as extensive working experience in Internet, print media, marketing, and entertainment industry, he has expanded his career from a reporter to a more comprehensive opening. His bilingual advantage helps Firestone better communicate with Chinese partners with high efficiency and pleasure.

 

Lin Qi Shu

Director, Strategic Planning

Mr. Lin Qishu has extensive personal relationships with Chinese top media management from his 15 years of experience at Xinhua News Agency, the official Chinese news agency in Beijing.

Starting as an editor at Xinhua, he then became Director of the Consulting division of China’s largest media company, the China Media Development Corp.  Mr. Lin organized and supervised many commercial media projects both in China and in the U.S., including the introduction of Motorola into China. He organized press activities for the China Ministry of Finance when it issued $1 billion USD in stocks in the US.

Lin is an expert at building bridges between the top 100 Chinese companies and foreign companies doing business in China. He has also been president of one of China’s largest beverage companies doing business in the US for a decade.

Lin is a graduate of Shanghai Foreign Language Institute and a research student at Australian La Trube University.  Though he has lived in New York City for the past 15 years, he still maintains a frequent travel schedule between the U.S. and Asia.
