Firestone and China
The
rapidly expanding market in China is an opportunity for American firms
to bring leadership to a population eager for an education in Western
lifestyles and products. The time to capitalize on this opening
is now, before the rush of the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Firestone
Group can chart a successful introduction to China and extend
your reach in the world’s fastest growing and dynamic market.
Over
the past 10 years, we have successfully created international business
opportunities for some of the largest Chinese companies, including
China’s: #1 distillery, #1 soft drink company, 3rd largest brewery, 5th
largest advertising agency and their largest manufacturer of buses.
We can do it for you.
The
2008 Beijing Olympics will be a huge coming out party. The world will
be coming to China, and Beijing is getting ready – upgrading all the
highway and transportation systems, rapidly expanding subway and bus
lines with new rolling stock, new stations, new signage and billboards.
This is the time to execute your China strategy, while the market is
still fluid and exclusive opportunities exist.
Contact us for a confidential discussion on how we can serve your expansion into this largest of Asian markets.
Sincerely,
Firestone Group
Case Histories
Firestone
Group has been active in the China market for the past ten
years. Here are some of the services we performed for our clients.
The 4th
largest distillery in Scotland used the services of Firestone to create
a new joint venture to brand a scotch whiskey with the largest
distiller in China. Firestone arranged an introductory trip for top
Chinese management to Scotland to taste the product range, then a tour
of the Chinese facility for three representatives from Scotland.
The result was the successful creation and marketing of a unique
Chinese brand of whiskey, purchased from Scotland and bottled and sold
in China.
When
the largest bus manufacturer in China wanted to source a new bus design
in the United States, they asked Firestone to find them a suitable
partner. After preliminary negotiations, three equity owners of a
Far Western state bus manufacturing company accompanied the Firestone
team to Beijing for a three day planning meeting. They are in process
of supplying parts to their Beijing counterparts, and plans are well
under way to jointly design, produce and market a new vehicle that
combines the best of both worlds.
China’s
largest domestic producer of soft drinks, juices and bottled water
relied on Firestone for 10 years to publicize their brands in the
United States, and supply marketing data for expansion. Firestone led
several editor trips to Guanzhou so the press could experience the
company’s products at first hand. Subsequent feature stories and photo
essays appeared in major US media.
Firestone
introduced one of China’s 2 largest beer brands to the United States
with a press conference that resulted in major publicity across the
country. The brand is now nationally distributed and rivals an
established competitor that has been in the market for 20 years.
When
a privately held British wine company wanted to increase sales in
China, they used the Firestone Group to place editorials in the
leading Beijing newspapers, plan an American style marketing campaign
for restaurants and nightclubs and educate the local sales force to put
the plans into effect. Sales increased over 100%.
